Structurally, a 39 amino acid linear peptide conjugated to a C20 fatty diacid moiety by a linker connected to the lysine20 residue. The dual agonist approach synergises the insulin and glucagonostatic responses compared to a GLP-1 agonist alone. It was the first dual-targeting single agent to be approved for T2DM management.
